Vegetable Soup For The LIttle Heart : The Delhi Metro

A young lady was sitting just in front of me. Infact, it would be more appropriate to say I was standing in front of her. It was a sunny Saturday just like another normal Saturday in Delhi Metros. With all the rush around. I also hurriedly rushed into the yellow line metro at the Kashmere Gate Metro Station. It was my good fortune that I found myself standing right in front of this lady. She seemed to be of my age putting on a girly light pink T-Shirt and a jean and she was looking really cute and classy in a simple and gentle way.

Before going any further along with my story, I just want to let my readers know that I had never had a wrong inclination towards her, and it is just another incident of my observation. But, she was pretty.

The computerized voice came in - " The next station is Chowri Bazaar, stand clear off the door." People inside were pushing trying to make their way towards the door and as the train stopped, I could see the huge rush on the other side of the door. Just as the door opened, the rush on the other side of the door was trying to get inside and the rush inside was trying to get outside. I wonder when will We the Indians learn not to use our Physical strength on everything. The door was closed somehow and the people inside got a little more stabled, but I found myself two yards away from the place where I remembered I was standing. I guessed it was not me but the classical Indian tradition of making their way pushing the others. Anyway, that's not my concern. In my place I could see an old couple with two little kids trying to balance themselves. The kids were so young that their body in not well co-ordinated to their mind to balance themselves and were just about to fell off their feet as the metro train gained velocity and momentum. Just at the perfect moment SHE lend off both her hands to support the kids and the kids were in the safe hands now. She picked both of them on her laps and made herself comfortable with the extra weight. The kids were shabbily dressed and dark but she didn't mind letting them sit on her laps. She was supporting them with both her arms and playing with the Kids' cheeks with both her hands. I could see the sparkling smile.

As usual, I found myself smiling and had to look around to see if other people were looking at me and my smile. Otherwise, they would be thinking something out of normal about me which I am not. The next station came and she made her way offering the seat to the old woman and as she moved out she gave the kids an little smile. She got off the train taking along with her a pile of passengers, offering me some more free space where I could find some more air to breathe in.

As I reached Rajiv Chowk I got a seat to sit. I took out my newly bought diary and wrote "Vegetable Soup For The Little Heart". As I recalled her She was looking even more beautiful. And this first soup is for HER.

Travel India : Nainital

Nestled in the Uttaranchal Himalayas, Nainital is one of northern India's oldest hill resorts- a pretty lake town and Kumaon's largest settlement. A convenient getaway from the plains of northern India, this is a picturesque little town, centred around a limpid blue lake and replete with enchanting colonial buildings, winding pathways and some of the most exquisite views you'll see of the Kumaon hills.The Naini Tal or lake, shaped like the eye (`nain') from which it draws its name, is the focal point of the town. Surrounded by seven hills known as the Saptshring, the lake is a hot favourite with boaters.

On the shores of the lake are many of Nainital's most interesting sights, like the Temple of Naina Devi, the presiding deity of the town; the colonial-era Church of St John in the Wilderness, and the nearby Secretariat building, designed by the same architect who planned the grand Mumbai Central and Victoria Terminus stations in Mumbai.

As in almost every other Raj-era hillstation, here too there's a Mall, where the town's many shops are concentrated. Visitors can take a ropeway from the Mall to the peak known asSnowview- a great place for a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. If you're in an adventurous mood, you could trudge along further, to Naina Peak, also known for its stunning views. The State Observatory and the Hanuman Garhi temple, off the road to Haldwani, also rank high up on the list of must-visit places, as does Dorothy's Seat, named for an unfortunate British lady who died at the spot in an accident; and Land's End, near the lake. Those wishing to wander further afield can make tracks for the gorgeous Sat Tal- the seven lakes which lie just about 21 km from Nainital; or for Bhimtal and Naukuchiyatal, both lovely and good for picnics or boating.

Getting to Nainital

The nearest airport is at Pantnagar, 72 kms from Nainital, and with connecting bus services and private taxis to Nainital. The closest railhead is at Kathgodam, 40 km south, and with links to Agra, Bareilly, Lucknow and Delhi. From Kathgodam you can take a hired taxi or bus to Nainital. Two main highways come in to Nainital, one to the south at Tallital (which receives traffic from the plains) and the other to the head of the lake at Mallital (where traffic from Ramnagar and the Corbett National Park arrives). Buses ply regularly between Nainital and major northern cities, including Delhi.

Best time to visit Nainital

The best seasons to visit Nainital are from March till June and again in September-October; an Autumn Festival is organised at Nainital in October. In May and June the town usually gets very crowded due to the rush of tourists escaping the hot summer of the plains.

Accommodation in Nainital

Nainital has a host of expensive hotels as well as middle rung and budget accommodation. Rates during the peak tourist season (May to July) are usually very high; at other times it is possible to get hefty discounts. Most of the upmarket hotels are situated around Mallital on the northern edge of the lake, while budget rooms are available around Tallital, towards the southern side. There are also touristrest houses run by the state tourist board.

A Lesson To Become A Better Person

This is about an incident not so uncommon to all of us. Almost everybody, everyone must have gone through this, must have seen this, must have lived with this and may die with it without giving a thought over this. I am not a social worker, neither am rich nor can do much for those poors poorer than me. But, I have this feeling in me that I should have done more for them, atleast upto what I could have done.

In that compartment of the sleeper class there were 14 of them, a mother, a father and a very old woman with thick glasses on a broken frame with their family of 11 childern with 9 girls. All of them within the range of 7 to 8 years, most of which seemed to have a gap of only few months . They were shifthing home from Delhi to Guahati, Assam. The compartment was full with their things wrapped in the torned cement bags. The colour of the dresses the children were wearing was hard to make out as they were really dirty. Most of them were almost black as it seems to me but, I knew it was not the original colour. It was not a healthy environment there and I am sure anyone would not want to have a journey with them for a whole night and a whole day. Me and my friend never even bother to come down from our top decks, we were there for almost half of our journey. I kept on looking at those children. I saw a lot of things about them during that journey and tried to imagine how their lives would have been, what would become of those children.

I had a brief conversation with the eldermost son, the ninth child of the family. He was Bapan and his mother called him Bappu with much care. He told that he was the only one in his family to go to school and was recalling some other stories. He was so frank as if he knew me well from before. At a station somewhere, the train stop for a minute. There we saw some men cleaning the mess that the passengers made. Bappu pointed his finger at a man with a broom among the men and said "My father used to do that, but he doesn't get much money". Then, he pointed at a man in the same group with a little better dress with an old shabby black coat that appeared to be brown. He then said "My uncle has the same coat, and he has a lot of money". I don't know what induced him to utter these words all of a sudden, but, I could see the difference in his eyes when he told me. Just after that insant I saw a woman with a baby in her laps sweeping the compartment floor. After she had finished she came back asking for a little favour for her service. Some gave a rupee and some two. The child took out the 5 rupees note that I gave him to buy sweets and handed it over to the woman and ask her to return a rupee. The woman returned two coins of one rupee, smiled a little, put her hand over the head of Bappu and then she left.

I felt ashamed of myself. Instantly I felt far below my level. The small kid taught me humanity. How to help someone in need ?

I believe I can be a better person.

The Sixth Sense Told Me About My Death

These thought has always been with me since I gained senses. I have always wondered about death and have never been that much attached to life. Infact, i have always sensed and believed that i would die at the age of 40, exactly on my birthdate. Now, if somebody ask my why so, I DON'T HAVE THE DAMN ANSWER. It is just something like a voice from my inner soul and it has never been wrong with me. Whatever that I have felt has always came true. May be I have got a stronger sixth sense.

I hope this one is also going to come true. As evidence, I will narrate some incidents that have been part of my life.

1. When i was in the second year of my Engineering, I felt down from a 10 meter high ladder with my face on the ground. That morning I still remember I had so many slips from my hand, almost broke a dozen of glasses. Then, in the afternoon, I slipped from the ladder and I almost died.

2. This second incident in the list has been my most painful day till now. In the morning, I felt something not right within. I had no problems at that time, everything was going so well. But, still something very bad kept me occupied the whole day. While I was returning from class, that maroon coloured checked half shirt that my girlfriend gave me got torned out of nowhere. I loved that shirt and she was my whole world ( Ofcourse, my parents are there in their place). In the late evening she called me up as usual. But, that one was for a different purpose. She decided to leave me, it came just like a 100000 million volt lightning to me. I got dumped ( feel sorry for myself saying this, but fact is fact ). U won't believe, I slept for two whole days after taking 15 sleeping pills that night. (I was a great fool I agree and readers please leave no comments for my stupidity, i'm already aware of that )

3. The summer vacation this year, i had to cancel my ticket for the journey back to home because of ankle fracture while playing badminton in the morning that day itself. The next morning i heard the same bus got overturned and fell into the river.

There are a number of cases like these and it will take atleast three days if I were to write all about those. These are the major incidents. And I belief, my dear readers might be convinced that my sixth sense is quite strong.

Now, my point is that, if these have been all true then the belief and the sense of the death at 40 will also be true. To add to it, here is another fact. At the age of 21 I was diagnosed of ALS meaning Amyotropic lateral Schlerosis and death occurs due to the failure of respiratory organs. Now, my readers may say that I will survive this one too as I have been surviving all the others. Yeah, I will ask the same, but this one is different as I felt I am dying unlike those in which I felt I will be alright.

Whatever, I am just sharing my feelings with my readers. God knows the fate, not me.

Google CHROME, fastest browser yet with certain problems

I have been using Google Chrome since the time it has been released. It is the best browser I have ever used. It is faster then any other bowsers present till date. I have used Mozilla firefox, Opera (the latest version), netscape, internet explorer 7, almost all the browsers available in the internet. But, I find chrome to be the best. Once the site has been browsed, then Chrome can load much faster the next time.

In order to prove it to myself, I simultaneously installed firefox, opera and chrome, and tried to browse the same website. For the first time, all the bowsers took almost the same time to load the page. But, I found out the difference in the second time I open the same page. Chrome could load the page mush faster as compared to the browsers. No doubt, Opera and Mozilla Firefox have been the fore-runners in the list of fastest web browsers. After using Chrome, I would stick to it untill a better one comes up. Regarding browsing speed I would say Chrome is much better. Apart from this, the quick access links of the latest browsed sites in the front panel gives a much better interface for quick links. The cool looks add to its features.

Everything has limitations. This applies to the Google Chrome also. I have been blogging for the last six months. I have experienced certain problems with the Chrome. These have been listed below.

1. While I was trying to change the template of my blog, certain error codes came up repeatedly. And I was unable to change the blog template. I tried using Internet Explorer, and there were no more problems. There were no problem in changing to a template as given in the blogger. I wanted some other templates which I can customize and with a better look. There I got the problem. This is one limitation of Chrome. So, whenever I am upto changing my template, I use Internet Explorer.

2. The other problem is the blogger's Posting > Create menu. Whenever I inserted pictures to the post, I used to find problems in placing the pictures to the place where I wanted. I couldn't drag the pictures with the mouse. I thought the blogger didn't support it. I have been using Chrome since the time I started blogging. Once I tried in Internet Explorer and it did work. I can drag the pictures with the mouse and it give the best flexibility in placing the pictures where I wanted them to be.

The Chrome team have to come up with solutions to these problems. There may be many more, these two only for the timebeing. If I find more, I will surely write about that also. Readers can check in regularly for more updates.

A Personal Account

This last five days have shown me how life is going to be after I pass out from my College. I realized the world is going really fast. After this semester, I have got only one more semester to go. After that I'll be called an A grade Mechanical Engineer, ofcourse my percentage is quite good till now. Even if I do prettty bad in the next semester, it's not pull me down atleast below the A grade line.

I think studying engineering is one of the most safest option if you're looking for an easy study. I got the prestigious selection in this Govt. of India funded NERIST. It's not bad at all. When I was in first year i was quite a sincere students, it was a habit though, as my mom is pretty strict and She has been a nightmare for me when I was in School. Thanks MOM, otherwise I won't have this percentage. I'm not saying that I'm still sincere or studying regularly, that scope is totally out of focus for the time being.

OOps!! my story if getting off the track. I was talking about the world changing rapidly, and I realized today only.

In the last five days, I completed 30 assignments, 3 seminar reports of atleast 30 pages each, a training dairy of 100 pages, and have given 3 seminars. In each seminar I have shown around 30 slides accounting 90 slides in total. Why I'm mentioning this is that I want the readers to imagine the time and efforts that i must have given to read the reports, sort out the points and put them in the slides. Above these I have been having internal assesment test continuously in these five days. I couldn't explain How have I done it and I don't want to get through those memories again. It'll be a nightmare. I have slept for only 10 hours in total in these five days. And this is making me sick. I'm surely going to a long sleep after this write up.

Before these five days, the whole semester I did nothing except for watching movies, blogging, chatting, and playing badminton. My major exam is starting day after tomorrow, that is on the 1st november 2008. Till now I have not read even a single chapter of any of the courses. What I know is the names of the courses only. (I have been following this routine for the last two years after I got broke up with my 'V'. She is ex though, I still prefer to called her as mine, kind of fondness)

That's why I said engineering is really easy to study if you have some knowledge of Mathematics.

Silence talks better than Words

This is about a moment that I and 'V' have shared together. I used to think about this all the time, specially when it is a cold winter night, late and when i'm lying on my bed, alone in my room.

Who is 'V' ? You might be having this question in your mind. Well, she was my girlfren, we broke up two years back. Yet, her memories are still alive in my mind each one of them.

I went to JORHAT, a small town in Assam, North East India. I was too eager to see her, meet her as she accepted my proposal after two long years. I met her. But, my concern is not the moments that we spent together. This post is only for that moment, in which we talked in silence.

It was the time for me to go. My bus was scheduled to leave at 6.30 pm. It was around 5.45 pm. I was there sitting in a chair in the station. I was recalling all those moments that I spent with her during the day. I had to stay only for a day as I was having exams coming up. All the memories were lingering around me. I was missing her so much. I wished to listen to her voice just once last time before leaving.

That time I wasn't using cellphones neither did she. She was staying in the Hostel. So, I called up from a local Phone boot to her Hostel Phone. her room was on the far side of the hostel. And I never expect her to be the first to pick upthe called. I still remember clearly, it was at the end of the fifth ring, the receiver was picked up. I heard a familiar voice, and Lo.... it was her. She was waiting for my call. She said nothing else and then started crying. I felt her tears rolling down her cheeks. I couldn't say anything nor did dhe do. I was silent and neither she spoke a word more.

Now it was more than 40 minutes without a single word. It was 6.28 pm and the bus had already arrived and all the passengers were onboard except for me. They were calling me. But, I couldn't say anything to her, i couldn't even move. Even in silence I can hear her telling me not to go. And I am sure that she must have felt that I don't want to go either.

All of a sudden she broke her silence and said in a very weak voice "Your bus must be waiting, go safely, I am there by your side. I LOVE YOU". If she didn't break her silence I would have surely miss the bus. I give her a smooch and said goodnight and stepped onboard the bus. Whole journey I felt as if she was sitting by my side, leaning her head over my shoulder. Sometimes I would look over as if it were for real.

Though it has been quite a time, the moment is still fresh in my mind. But, I don't know how did she knew that the bus was waiting for me. She was in her hostel and that's quite far from the station. We spoke no words, yet we were talking to each other in silence. May be it was " Silence talks better than Words ".

We are no more together. But, she is still a part of me.

And if you have a bad breath or a stained teeth, you won't smile at all. You might have seen the smile of Aishwaria Rai Bachchan. Isn't it awesome ?? You will surely want to smile like that and even more.

I have a simple way out to it. Follow the steps that I've given below. It's very simple and you don't have to put money for that. And I assure you a "MILION DOLLAR SMILE".

- Brush at least twice a day (using flouride-containing toothpaste, two minutes each time) and floss each time.

- Use a soft bristled toothbrush.

- Hold your brush at a slight angle against your teeth and use short back-and-forth motions.

- Brush the inside and chewing surface.

- Brush your tongue to clear all odour.

- Avoid rigorous or hard scrubbing.

- Massage your gums with your finger-tips for two minutes once a day to improve circulation.

- Seek a doctor's recommendation for mouthwash especially for kids.

- Replace your toothbrush every two or three months at least.

- Consider using an electric toothbrush, especially if you have anthritis that makes it difficult to brush well.

- Rinse your mouth after every meal.

- Avoid snacks in between meals.

- Your diet should contain a lot of green vegetables and fruits.

- Vitamin C, found in citrus fruits and guavas, etc, is essential for healthy gums.

- Eat foods rich in calcium, like cottage cheese.

- Apples are an excellent cleanser for the teeth.

- Maintain balanced diet, but reduce consumption of foods containing sugar or starch.

- Cola drinks damage teeth.

- Smoking stains teeth and damages gums by reducing blood supply.

- Chewing of sugar free gum prevents bad breath and fights tooth decay.

- Don't chew on hard objects that can crack your teeth like ice and supari, etc.

To feel good inside the heart is the key to stay happy, well and good with a sound health. And it gives a sense of self confidence. Let us all feel good inside our heart.

Here are some few tips that I used to practice to Feel Good.

1. One has to have a positive mind and realise that one's thoughts and attitude creates one's feelings.

2. Regular breakfast - Nutritious food improves one's mood, boosts memory and immunity.

3. Regular physical exercise (at least 30 minutes) everyday. Endorphins - feel good hormones - which are released by the brain in response to exercise improve mood, relieve stress and produce an overall feeling of wellbeing.

4. Exercise the brain by doing crosswords/puzzles, hobbies. Learn problem-solving techniques.

5. Spend times in silence.

6. Make friends, make someone feel good.

7. Learn to recognise and handle stress.

8. Take breaks/holidays.

9. Self-appreciation - reward your acheivements.

10. Accept responsibilities for your health - be regualr with health checkups, modify lifestyle as advised by the professionals.

11. Smile - a happy face has a positive effect in forming and maintaining relationships.

The Breath Of Life

No one can live for more than a few minutes without breathing, yet how many of us are aware of the importance of proper breathing ? We need to breathe slowly and deeply. Then the body cells work in unision and bring back harmony and health to the system. Here are three breathing techniques to the system. One should practice all of them everyday as many times as one can. But, minimum one should do 11 times each of these techniques to be able to feel the benefits. If one is doing after meal there should be a gap of two hours. Otherwise, one can finish the technique and immediately sit for food.

Yogic Breathing (the complete breath)

This breathing exercise uses the lower, middle and upper part of the respiratory muscles. Start with abdominal breathing, followed by thoraric breathing and finally clavicle breathing. Reverse the order when you exhale

Benefits : Increases lung capacity, slow down repiration rate, calms the mind.

Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing)

This is a simple form of alternate nostril breathing. nadi means channel and refers to the energy pathways through which the prana flows. Shodhana means cleansing. Nadi shodhana means purification of nadis or channels.

Inhale through the left nostril, exhale through the right, inhale through the right and exhale through the left. This is one round of breathing.

Benefits : Strengthens the nervous system, helps conditions such as anxeity, depression, hypertension, and hypotension.

Bhramari (humming bee)

Bhramari means bee. The exhalation should be similar to a bee.

Place the thumb on your ears, shut your eyes and inhale, then exhale making the sound of the humming bee.

Benefits : Nourishes and calms the brain cells, smoothes the nervous, helps in treating insomnia.

As I have the habit of surfing and looking for new blogs trying to find something new, I came across this blog NIZHAMA2. The owner is a vietnam origin and now live in Malyasia.

The blog is a storehouse of varieties of posts. But, it has large number of posts related to travel, auto, health, education, blog etc. Some of the travel spots are quite impressive. I was bored that day and so as my friends were. All of a sudden this thought of going to the Famous Rock Garden of Darjeeling sprang up to my mind. I was in Gangtok then. The Rock Garden was about four hours from where I was satying. We four got up, took our gogs then hired a taxi which charged fifteen hundred INR. We started at around 8.30 in the morning. It was a pleasant weather, so we took only some light clothes.

Sikkim, the perfect destination for spending your summer time. I went there recently only, during my study break. We four of us, all classmates have had a great time there. We planned to go to the famous Somgo Lake of Sikkim. It is 14,000 ft above the sea level. On top of the Great Himalayan ranges there lies this lake. In winter it is all frozen and ice as thick as to support an SUV is formed on the surface of the lake. And in summer even the temperature drops to 1 degree centigrade.

I started blogging only a few weeks back. I don't know anything about blogging, except that we can earn money in there. But, I don't know how. I wasn't serious at all first. But, I was bored of doing chats and orkutting only over my GPRS net connection. I thought of giving a try to blogging. Before that I have to know what exactly I have to do and how to do it.

There is a guy in my hostel who used to do blogging. he has been doing it for around a year. He knows quite a lot better than me. And I believe those things which he told me must be the most basic steps of blogging.

Before that I would like to say that blogging is not merely for earning dollars by promoting products and services, but, it is also a platform of sharing informations which could be of help to others, expressing thoughts and ideas, sharing personal experiences, sharing knowledge etc.

Here are some easy but important tips for blogging, how to start.

First, we have to have a blog of our own. There are a lot of sites in Internet for blogging. But, not all can be trusted. There has been a lot of complains regarding this on the matter of fake blogging sites. Some of the blogging sites where you can register your blog safely and whom I know that can be trusted are given : www.blogger.com , www.wordpress.com.

Secondly, complete your profile properly, and mind that no wrong information should be provided. Add a cool profile image. Then write a good opening post. This is going to be your first post of your blog. Better you write something about yourself and the blog in such a way that the readers may find you as a very interesting person.

Remember that the content of the articles is the king of blogging. There are a lot of things which need to be understood for a blogger. But, don't try to do everything at just one time. Write only quality contents if you wanna have more traffic in your blog.

Visit others blog, read them carefully, observe how they do it. And not the least, don't forget to leave a comment on his/ her article. By doing so, you are opening one more gate to your blog. Out of NORMAL

I was bored of the "as usual" way, passing my days sitting around and eating and sleeping. So, me and my friends thought of doing something out of normal, setting out for a small travel plan. We planned to go the the HANGING BRIDGE, to the east of my hostel block, over the mighty Doimukh river. Have heard about the bridge but,we were not aware of how it was.

Being engineering students we are far more than punctual......Yeah !! That was an irony. We started at 6 a.m., one hour late than what was planned. We five Rmen, Me, IS, Ptam, Rishi (with the camera) best friends for years with a sony cybershot 7.2 megapixel, set out for the quest. Well, when we get there it was well and good, the bridge was long, hovering a little with the wind, but, great.

We stepped upon it one by one, me at the last at first. Upto the middle of the bridge, it was quite good. The view of the river from above there, the fog at the far distance seemed to meet the river water at the mountian base. The view was truly rare because it was summer time, no time for the fog. We were lucky. Now, things changed with one more step ahead to where we were standing. Ahead there, there were whole lot of missing planks and the steel fibres supporting by the side was in a very bad condition. Through the missing planks we saw the violent river water passing at speed of around 40 m/s and it was good enough to make one drifted away with it very easily. Frankly my heart was beating faster and so do my friends. But, we don't want to go back also as we would feel that we were not brave enough. We took up the challenge. We manage to cross it, taking support from the steel fibres hanging by the side, sometimes crawling, sometimes sitting . At last we succeed.

There, in the middle I remembered a physical law by Newton, the theory of relativity. When I looked down the missing planks I saw the river water gushing by. But, to the difference, the bridge seemed to be moving and not the water. My eyes perceived that the river water was the reference and the bridge on where I was standing was moving. Now, that had added to our difficulty so much that I wasn't even aware of my ciggarette slipping away from my lips. After getting safely to the other side, the thought of getting back from here to that other side struck our mind.

Travel : The Dzuko Valley

My friends went for trekking this summer to the Dzuko Valley, also called locally as the Valley of angels. I have never imagined that it could be that beautiful untill I saw the images clicked by them. The Valley is truly the Valley of angels. It's so beautiful that its pictures just left me astonished thinking about how can I make the mistake of deciding not to go there.

The valley is situated at an impressive elevation of 8052 feet above the mean sea level, in the Senapati District of Manipur, India. It not that far from my homeplace but never had a chance to go there. But, after having been told of the real experiences of my friends, I can't just hold myself any longer. I'm going this winter itself.

During the summer, the flowering season, you'll feel like settling in the valley itself. But, no way out, you can't do it. The valley is a protected area. Even plucking flowers is prohibited and may get heavily fined as the valley is the only habitat of one of the most rarest and most beautiful lilies in the world, the Dzuko Lily. There can be no doubt of it. The summer experience is a breathtaking affair. The winter experience is unforgettable. That’s how one can describe Dzuko in brief. Its view will left everyone with their mouths wide open, the beauty is just irresistable.

If you are planning to trek there, here are some basic informations. In winter the temperature drops down even to minus thirteen degree centigrade. Snow as thick as 6 feet covered the whole valley. No one will ever think of snow in Manipur untill you get there. The river get frozen and it is so hard that a group of more than 10 people can stand without any fear of breaking. So, get ready with your gears properly, otherwise you will have to experience the severest of cold. Even in summer you will see thick fog all over in morning and late evening.

For those non indian trekkers , they first need to get clearances from the Indian tourism authorities. It may take some time, but, you will never regret after you become a part of the Dzuko Valley.

Health : A Hope To Fight The Amyothrophic Lateral Schlerosis

I am also a patient affected by Amyotrphic Lateral Schlerosis. I was diagnosed of it when I was in my early twenties. It's almost about three years since then. I had been searching almost everyday for something hopeful regarding the Motor neuron Defect.

Yesterday, one of my dearset friend,very much concerned about me, send me a mail. You can log on to www.tcmtreatment.com to read the same. When I read it, tears all of a sudden rolled down from my eyes. Now, I can think about having a normal life again. In a statement written by Dr. Zhu Ming, Vice President of Huaihua Red Cross Hospital, they gave their chinese method of treatment upon treating various chronic and difficult health problems including ALS which is considered to be one of the most difficult disease to be cured. Western medicine has almost given up on treating such a difficult disease except for offering Rilutek tablets which seem to be of no help.

From the western medicine viewpoint, the cause of ALS is unknown. The patient may lose the muscle and strength of the four limbs and then the boby step by step. In 3 to 5 years the pateint may not be able to walk even and may have to take up to wheelchair.

The international TCM ( Traditional chinese medicine ) service team now has approximately sixty working staff, including medical professors, doctors, acupuncturists, translators, nurses, guards, office clerks, etc. Frankly, since their international service started from the end of 2005, in the first year, they had about ten ALS patients, most of them did not see any improvement. However, the first year practice brings about good experience.The major treatment methods are drinking Chinese herbal tea, medical massage and acupuncture. From October 2006 to April 2007, their clinical statistics reveals that they had 14 patients from USA, Canada, Israel, Sweden, Algeria, Czech, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Yugoslavia, Portugal and China. Their ages range from 30 to 65 years old, their treatment periods range from one month to four months. The results indicate that 6 patients had very obvious improvement, 5 patients had some improvement, and 3 patients had no improvement.

I don't think there can be anything more romantic for me than this !!

This girl "Venus", I have got my crush on her and her only. I saw her only once. But, felt something like I know her long time ago. She was such a pretty. I always had felt to capture every moment of her in camera. But, I don't have camera at that time, so can't do it.

I was after her for more than two years, then only she gave me the green signal. She was studying in some other place and I studied in another place. So, that evening itself when she said I got into the bus and headed towards her place. It was the midst of Winter cold and I only with a jacket and a warm trouser, was filled with too much of enthusiasm. I was never allowed to travel alone, even for some few miles by my parents. They were too concerned about my safety as I was their only son. But, I don't know how I got the courage to go there. The place was totally unknown to me, only I know that her College was some 30.00 mins distance from the bus stop. I reached the place at 12.06 a.m. It was dark and very cold. I never thought that I could be that much cold. I was shivering hard. There was only one taxi and I ran towards it. I ask him to take me to the college in such a way that I know the place very well. Otherwise, I was scared that I may get thugged.

It took around 30.00 mins to reach her college. I thought that there should be some hotels around the campus as it was quite a reputed college. I was thinking of spending the night in it if I get one. But, all of a sudden when I saw nothing like a hotel, I felt the cold more severely. It seemed like all my blood were frozen inside my arteries and vein. There were two security person at the gate. They were fighting the cold night with a small fire from firewoods. I walked upto them and ask if I can find a hotel nearby. The response, I knew it from before. They asked me what work do I have here. I lied that I had come to meet a friend. And to make it more real I added I can't go the hostels also as I don't exactly know which block and room number. They ask me to take the comfort of the fire with them. We talked for some minutes. Then one of them invited me to the security quater to spend the night there. I agreed as I felt good about them, and they seem to be harmless. I spend the night there in their quater. Then in the morning he dropped me to the PCO as I told him.

Now, one thing I didn't tell you before. My girlfriend doesn't know that I was coming there to meet her. I wanted this to be her first gift. I called her from the public call phone and told her "I will be waiting at the gate of your hostel." She was damned shocked. She didn't beleive me at first. Then I went to her hostel and was waiting for her outside the gate. She, after a little while came down. That moment was one of my most precious moment and will be one the bests. She was so pretty, wearing a purple SALWAR, with a silver earings with blue jems on it. She wore a light pink lipstick and her hair was a little wet. She might have came just after the bath. Nothing could have been more beautiful than her at that moment...........

I spend the whole day with her. She took me to many places she knew of. She make me feel that she loves me a lot and that was enough for me to live with.

This is my Perfect First Date. It was on the 31st of december, 2005. See I still remember everything.

I watch the morning sun today. I have heard many a times that the morning sun, just emerging from the horizon is breathtaking. I also felt that it should be very beautiful, but never ever thought of experiencing it personally. I defied myself from the heavenly feeling, knowingly or unknowingly. Today, I have felt the heavenly touch, when the the first Sun-Ray from the sun struck my eyes. I felt proud within myself because I can say that " for today the SUN is mine". I am the first person on this earth that the SUN met for this day.

The first Ray the struck me has lighten up the darkest corner of me. I have tried for many a times to feel whole again. But, that Ray has done the magic in just one moment. Now, I feel whole all over again. I feel the light, deep inside me. I feel as if I am blessed by the mother nature

Technology : A boon to the DOOM

This is an inevitable part of modern lifestyle....the "Plastics". It is considered to be one of the most important gift of the ever developing technology. But, only a few really knows the adverse effects of the boon to the modern worlds. Almost in everything plastics have become the key component.

Now, this is something new that has annoyed me for the past somedays. Canadian researchers have found that Bisphenol A (BPA) the chemical used in making plastic containers,might be responsible for impairing many brain functions such as learning and remembering. They also fear that it could be a factor behind Alzheimer's schizophrenia and depression. BPA is globally used in making plastic water bottles, baby food bottles, food containers and dental prostheses. In their study, the researchers at the University of Guelph near here found that BPA might be leaking foods kept in the plastic containers.

When these foods and liquids are consumed, they said, the chemical might be getting into the human might be getting into human system, disrupting communication between brains neurons which is vital in understading and remembering. According to researcher Neil MacLusky, the slow doses of this chemical badly impair the formation of synapses in the areas of the human brain linked to learning.

Guys, how many of us have seen about our lives from the eyes of someone else ? Well, I hope, very few of us did it. We see our lives only through our eyes. Imagine, you are on the top of a mountain and you can see each and everyone in this world, can see everything about everyone. You keep your obsevation upon them. Then, you will find that, each and every human being is living the same life, same course, same problems, and same solutions to them also. the only different is the appearance. It is just like the same old chair, repainted every year. but, the chair is the same chair, even if we paint it with different colours.

We are born, grew up, study in the meantime, enters adulthood, fall in love, get married, bear children, bring them up, get old and then die. This was the most macroscopic overview of our life. Okay, let’s consider one part of it. Say, love….. We meet someone. Then we started talking, develop feelings for each other. Then we say, we are in love. We talk about doing this and that for each other, romantic talks and then physical intimacies etc. Sometimes we get into some arguments, then we fight. After sometime again, we realizes our mistakes and get back into the realtionship as normal. Then the same routine follows every week. At times,got break up also. Then, we meet someone else, does the same thing all over again. Or incase, no break up, then they got married, bear children and so on……
